MSME, P.E., President and Mechanical EngineerJohn has over 23 years of experience in engineering and has developed into an expert troubleshooter in various roles such as computer programmer, expert witness, building engineer, claims engineer, design engineer, modeling and simulation engineer, adjunct professor, and engineering consultant. He has held positions at ABAQUS, Parametric Technology Corporation, and lastly Behlen Manufacturing. He left Behlen in 2006 to start REDI Engineering. John embraces variety and has developed broad engineering experience in his various roles and responsibilities. With his years as a professional engineer, he knows engineering is simply applied physics. His clients appreciate his friendly demeanor, his ability to demystify engineering, and his explanations of scientific and physical principles in terms they understand.
He has been a professional engineer since 2003 and is licensed in Nebraska and Colorado. He speaks regularly at conferences and shares his insights and knowledge. He is an Adjunct Professor at Central Community College teaching engineering and mathematics courses. He is a member of the National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers, Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
John has a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering specializing in computational mechanics from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, and a B.S. in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln.

Joseph "Joe" Dexter
MSEM, P.E., Mechanical EngineerJoe has a knack for machines and systems. Joe has 11 years of engineering experience in various roles ranging from maintenance and reliability to direct operations and management. During college, he gained coop experience from Case New Holland and United Technologies Aerospace Systems. Following graduation, Joe worked for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Cargill, and most recently has taken over management of the family farming business along with engineering consulting. Through Joe’s experience and education, he has become an expert in machinery maintenance, operation, management, and design.
Joe is also very skilled at small team facilitation. Combining his expertise in machinery and formal training in Root Cause Analysis, Data-driven decisions, 5-Why, RCM Blitz, and Kaizen he can create very robust strategic plans to correct system deficiencies. Joe has formerly carried a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) credential from the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals.
Joe holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in materials science from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
